10 million cars…and counting

by Tony Sagami on October 20, 2009

Chinese auto manufacturers have produced 10 million cars so far in 2009. And the year isn’t over.

That puts China up with the U.S. and Japan as the only countries to produce more than 10 million cars in a year.

China is the largest auto market in the world and that is why everybody from Audi to General Motors to Volkswagen is falling over themselves to get into the Chinese car market. Think there are any investment implications to that theme?

Tires? Auto parts? Gasoline refining? Car insurance?
