As usual, the Chinese economy continues to expand at a faster pace than expected. Chinese GDP increased by 10.4% in the first half of 2008.
That is pretty impressive considering that China had to endure the worst snowstorm in 50 years and the Sichuan earthquake. If not for those two devastating events, the economy would have grown by much more.
I happen to believe that the U.S. is falling into a recession but even if you are more optimistic, 10% growth is a heck of a lot better than 0% growth.
