China’s $17.6 billion bet on wind power

For all the talk from the Obama administration about alternative energy, China is the country that is putting its money into making it happen.

China will soon break ground on a $17.6 billion wind power project in the Gansu province. The size of the project is so large that it has been called ‘Three Gorges dam on land.’

China expects to increase its wind power generation capacity by 800% by 2020.
