Disney to open new park in Shanghai

by Tony Sagami on November 5, 2009

Disneyland France, Disneyland Tokyo, Disneyland Hong Kong. All flops!

And now Disney wants to open another of its theme parks in Shanghai? For some reason that I can’t explain, the magic of Disney hasn’t affected Asians the same way as it has us Americans.

They are going to build this park in the vibrant Pudong section of Shanghai so instead of getting excited about Disney, I would expect some of the Chinese real estate companies with large Pudong holdings to be the big winner from Shanghai Disneyland.

Tony,

Do you have any suggestions on real estate companies that would benefit?

Thanks, Jim Vickers

Tony,

Just a note to thank you for your input on real estate companies that could benefit from the new Disney theme park.
