Fuel demand rises in China

by Tony Sagami on July 24, 2008

Rising prices haven’t dampened the demand for fuel in China.

The China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association reported that gasoline consumption increased by 16.2% and diesel by 14.7%.

$4 gasoline is dampening demand for gas in the U.S., but China is growing so rapidly that nothing — including high gas prices — is slowing it down.
