Hiroshima/Nagasaki wants the 2020 Olympics

by Tony Sagami on October 11, 2009

The cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are setting up a joint committee to make a bid to host the 2020 Olympics.

Japan has hosted the Olympics three times (Tokyo in 64, Sapporo in 78 and Nagano in 94).

I’ve never ventured south of Osaka so this would give me a great reason to visit that region of Japan. The Sagamis, as well as most of the Japanese immigrants in Tacoma, WA, were from the Hiroshima area.

At the rate the printing presses are rolling out crisp, new Federal Reserve Notes, one can only wonder what anything will “cost” in 2020, such as round trip plane tickets to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

At the rate that membership in Ron Paul’s creation, the Campaign For Liberty, is growing, with the help of the Young Americans For Liberty which is already on over 150 campuses, there just might be enough members before then to replace politicians who believe we live in a democracy with those who prefer the Constitutional Republic the Founders had in mind.

I joined the C4L when there were just 6000 members and now, one year later, there are 219,000. The membership doubled and redoubled over five times in that year. The members are mostly passionate about the cause of individual freedom and limited government with sound money.

Most are activists who helped persuade their Congressmen and Senators to cosponsor Ron Paul’s HR1207, the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009 to Audit The Fed. You can write to your representatives easily at http://www.DownsizeDC.org and you can find out if your reps have become cosponsors at http://www.thomas.gov then enter HR1207 and be sure to indicate bill number.

We mean business and consider we are involved in the Second American Revolution hinted in the title of Ron Paul’s best seller: The Revolution: A Manifesto. His End The Fed is on the NYTimes Best Seller List #15 today and is also on the WSJ best seller lists for Hard Cover and Business categories.

We take advantage of opportunities to make others we encounter aware of the existence of the Campaign For Liberty and explain we want to replace politicians who fail to keep their oath to preserve the Constitution with those who will keep it. Everyone knows current office holders do not keep their oath. We can point out that they failed to vote to declare war, that there is no authorization in the Constitution for a central bank nor for legal tender laws and that only gold and silver coins are legal tender.

The appeal of the message is evident in the membership growth to date. If we grow at same rate of doubling and redoubling this next year we will number 6 million by next summer if not sooner. Doubling after that will be awe inspiring, 12M, 24M, 48M, 96M conceivably plausible as our numbers will show we can get this country back on the rails and keep it there.

Than you for your wisdom and I just wanted you to know that this pro freedom movement exists and hope it gives you some emotional fuel to keep you going. It is even more helpful if you let others you know about the Campaign For Liberty dot com.
