Texas wind farm to use Chinese technology

by Tony Sagami on November 3, 2009

Somehow made-in-China wind turbines doesn’t quite fit my image of the West Texas plains. A consortium of investors is going to build a $1.5 BILLION wind farm on 36,000 acres of windy West Texas.

What is interesting is that some of the world’s leading green energy technology companies — batteries, solar power, wind power — is coming from China. A-Power (APWR), China BAK Battery (CBAK), Trina Solar (TSL), and Suntech Power (STP) to name a few.
