Senator Obama isn’t the only one talking about universal health care.
The Chinese National Development and Reform Commission unveiled its plan to provide basic care for all its citizens by 2020.
Wait, doesn’t a communist country like China already provide free health care to everyone? Not hardly!
The economic reforms and rising health care costs have created a country of health care have and have-nots. The poor (especially the rural) have found themselves priced out of even the most basic health care services.
It now seems China is going to take some of its $1.8 trillion of reserves and spend some of it on keeping its populace healthy.
