I haven’t commented (much) on The New York Times story about Afghanistan suddenly discovering it’s sitting on a trillion dollars worth of metals because the story was an obvious plant. Afghanistan may indeed be sitting on huge resources of iron, lithium, gold and more. But seriously, what are the odds of that being announced at the same time it’s announced that Afghanistan is now our longest war ever?

We’re spending $12.2 billion a month on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq above and beyond the normal military budget. Not to mention the cost on lives and broken bodies that can never be repaired. Wouldn’t you rather do something else with the money?

Love that video. I’m just a guy tryin’ to survive in the world, just like the Afghani people. Do you agree with Jon? Do you believe that those tryin’ to survive should get out of your way, so you can get ahead?
Remember this, you’re leaving some of us behind.
But the TRUTH to the REALITY is we all get ours in the end. Are you ready?
