Tuesday Video Transcript on Gold

by Sean Brodrick on April 21, 2009

I have a new video for UncommonWisdomDaily.com today.  It’s about gold.  To read a rough transcript of this video, point your web browser here: Gold and the Fear Trade.

Or you can see the video itself here: http://www.uncommonwisdomdaily.com/videos/

I talk about the action in gold, but in the chart, I’m using the SPDR Gold Trust ETF (GLD: 112.94 +0.64 +0.57%).  It’s a close-enough proxy and the one that ordinary investors use.

Sean,
On our user end your charting could be a bit more user friendly. Spacificly, Line graphs were firecrackers aren’t absolutly nessesary. And the faunt on time and scale are almost illegable.
I know this may be chart provider resistance to being passed along, but if it could be improved all the better. Guess we wouldn’t be so picky if all were headed the right way. Tough for everybody untill the “World politics” settles down? Hang in.

I appreciate your concerns, and I’ve made similar points to the powers that be (since I work for a company, I have little to say in the look and feel of our blogs). That was the first complaint I’ve heard from readers about the fonts though — my problem is I’m not allowed to change fonts, so if the font comes in looking “funny,” it’s going to stay that way.
I’ll pass your ideas along to managment. Maybe they’ll address them. Thanks very much for taking the time to read, even if you have to squint to do it :-)
